I built and led an engineering team for ~2.5 years while we shipped platform capabilities that supported a $50M credit facility and a $10M Series A. We rebuilt core client apps into a monorepo, automated parts of underwriting, and strengthened monitoring across systems. The outcome was faster execution, higher operational throughput, and a more scalable foundation for the business.

When I joined, the microservice architecture was undocumented, hard to run locally, and too complex for the company’s stage. I led the effort to consolidate services into a highly modular monolith while translating functionality safely and decommissioning legacy pieces. The result was a simpler system that was easier to develop, test, and ship from.

At Flourish FI, I learned from strong mentors and contributed to a CMS-driven onboarding experience. We reduced client onboarding from ~5 days to ~10 minutes by streamlining workflows and enabling configuration through CMS. We also made the frontend more reusable so the same app could adapt across clients.

I co-founded a small software house and delivered apps for Mexican companies and startup founders. We built a personal security social network that used geolocation for status reporting, and later applied that same expertise to an HR location-based check-in system. Running the company taught me how to balance product decisions, delivery, and client expectations under real constraints.

This was my self-learning chapter where I built websites for companies and a personal iOS meditation app while in college. I learned fundamentals by shipping real projects, iterating with feedback, and owning the full build-to-delivery cycle. That foundation became the starting point for the rest of my engineering career.
